 about

Andrea "Kahrizma" Hughes lives, creates and works in St. Louis.  In accordance with the "In Six Words Or Less" statements, her motto is "Born an artist, draws upon life!"

The “process” of creating art is just as important, if not more important, than the end result of a finished product.

As a self-taught artist, she received a lot of training through travel, trial and error, museums, internet and the ever-present uses of library.

Her artistic works include portraits in oil, acrylic, scratch boards, paper collages and mixed-media assemblages. participated in a neighborhood art project with an outdoor wall mural named “We are all flowers of one garden” funded by the Bah’i Faith.

The Zuka Arts Guild seeks to promote knowledge and participation in the visual arts through exhibitions, teaching programs, workshops, seminars and selected public art projects. The Guild is dedicated to artistic development through inter-organizational skill sharing. Zuka contributes to community, educational and cultural enrichment through the promotion and exhibition of art executed by artists of all proficiency levels.

“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
